JERSEY CITY, N.J. | (СŷÊÓƵ) and the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (SHCCNJ) will announce the formation of a strategic partnership, including the creation of a Hispanic Innovation Business Hub, during a news conference and signing ceremony in the Skyline Room of the СŷÊÓƵ School of Business (200 Hudson Street, Harborside 2) in Jersey City, N.J. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 12-1 p.m.

The comprehensive partnership is aimed at strengthening educational and economic opportunities for Hispanic businesses and СŷÊÓƵ students. СŷÊÓƵ and the SHCCNJ will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), highlighted by the relocation of the SHCCNJ’s headquarters to СŷÊÓƵ’s School of Business.

As part of the five-year agreement which will run through at least 2030, Room 211 of the School of Business will be transformed into the Hispanic Innovation Business Hub.

Furthermore, with the aim to enhance collaboration on shared initiatives that promote workforce development and entrepreneurship, the partnership includes several key initiatives, including the development of joint educational programs focused on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and digital skills; establishment of internship opportunities connecting СŷÊÓƵ students with SHCCNJ member businesses; collaboration on research and policy initiatives supporting Hispanic-owned and minority businesses; and access to СŷÊÓƵ facilities for SHCCNJ events and programming.

Statewide and local elected officials are expected to attend, along with СŷÊÓƵ academic leaders. Among those expected to deliver remarks are СŷÊÓƵ Interim President Andrés Acebo, Carlos Medina, President of SHCCNJ, SHCCNJ Chairman Luis De La Hoz, Congressman Robert Menendez, Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, Hudson County Executive Craig Guy, and Hudson County Clerk E. Junior Maldonado. Representatives from Senator Andy Kim’s office and New Jersey state senators and assemblymembers will also be in attendance.
