Dr. Peri Yuksel is a tenured associate professor of psychology at СŷÊÓƵ. Dr. Yuksel’s research concerns bilingual language development, parenting across cultures, trauma-informed pedagogy, and effective teaching and learning environments that facilitate student success and engagement in psychological literacy and global citizenship. Dr. Yuksel published in the field of psycholinguistics, scholarship of teaching and learning, and international education. She always encourages her students to conduct research for peer review. Among others, Dr. Yuksel chairs the Annual СŷÊÓƵ Pedagogy Day and serves in the СŷÊÓƵ’s Honors Program and Institutional Review Board. She is the co-advisor to the СŷÊÓƵ Psychology Society and Chapter of Psi Chi.

She received the Isenberg Award in recognition of her endangered language documentation, which helped in the publication and distribution of two children’s books in the endangered Laz language.
